A very special Farm Tour with Fair Cow's Path

Farm Tour Day was just a wonderful time for us at Marie’s Fair Cow’s Path Farm. The weather cooperated, making it a well-attended and enjoyable day for all. We saw lots of kids and grown-ups enjoying the sunshine, along with adorable puppies, goats, emus, rabbits, horses, a llama, and cows. Lucky us!

Marie is doing an outstanding job of raising her animals in a sustainable and humane way. It is so important to support her and others like her who are putting their whole selves into their farms. We love having such a great relationship with the person raising the beef used in our cornerstone pie, the Beef Pasty. Rancher and food business in the perfect partnership!

I was fortunate to grow up on a hobby farm with a wild variety of animals to help care for and bond with. My mom grew up in the city, and as soon as she had a chance to populate a 40-acre farm, she did exactly that! Beef cows, dairy cows, ponies, sheep, chickens, goats, geese—pretty much any farm animal you can think of. It was such a wonderful way to spend time with and care for these animals.

The Farm Tour is such a great way to share these farms and animals with folks who don’t often get the chance to be right up close to these amazing creatures. Sustainable Connections does a ton of work to make the Farm Tour happen, and a shout-out is deserved for all the farmers who opened their doors and invited so many families to visit their farms.
